Snowman Pizza

Nice smile!

by Jodie Fitz

1 Price Chopper pizza dough, whole wheat
1 lb. sweet turkey Italian sausage
1 cup bay spinach
1 clove garlic
1/4 cup Price Chopper light olive oil
4 – 6 oz. Price Chopper part-skim mozzarella cheese
Black olives and/or a carrot

Remove the skin of the sausage and fully cook it on the stove-top in a frying pan over medium heat; stir regularly. Set the sausage aside.
Shred the cheese. Chop the spinach in a mini chopper and stir it together with the olive oil and a clove of crushed garlic. Set the spinach mixture aside.
Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.
Divide the dough into 1/3 and 2/3 portions. Roll the divided dough into two circles; one smaller and one larger. Begin to assemble the snowman by placing them on a lightly coated baking sheet. You can coat the pan with light cooking spray or a very light layer of light olive oil. Baste both of the dough rounds with the spinach mixture. Add a layer of sausage. Top with the shredded cheese. Decorate the snowman using the olives for eyes, mouth and buttons. Finish up the snowman with a carrot nose or use a peeled and sliced carrot for decor.

Bake for 20 – 25 minutes (until the dough is browned and completely cooked).
