Fight the Flu!

  • Everyone over the age of 6 months should have a flu shot each year.
  • Adults over 65 are most at risk for flu-related complications. Also at risk are those with medical conditions such as: asthma, chronic lung disease or COPD, heart disease, diabetes, and those with a weakened immune system caused by HIV/AIDS or cancer.

Simple Steps to Protect Yourself from the Flu:

  • Avoid people who are sick with the flu.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
  • Wash your hands often.

If you get the flu, your doctor may prescribe antiviral drugs to treat your illness.
